As time passed, Jack’s life became increasingly uncomfortable, like a bed with tangled sheets and a sagging mattress. He realized that his decision to quit his job and spend all his savings had created a mess he now had to lie in.

One day, while working a menial job, Jack ran into his former boss, who offered him his old job back. But Jack had to start at the bottom again, with reduced pay and benefits. He had to “lie in the bed” he had made for himself, facing the consequences of his own actions.

From then on, Jack learned to take responsibility for his decisions and actions, making his bed carefully, so he could lie in it comfortably.
